verified as graduates of Field Artillery OCS. Their serial numbers are not consistant
with those assigned to graduates from that time period. In addition, John Collins
and James J. Ryan are common names. John Collins and Thomas Joyce served in
Artillery assignments. James Ryan served in an Infantry regiment with an Infantry
MOS. Attempts to verify the source of commission from the National Personnel
Records Center (Military Personnel Records) have been unsuccessful. A fire at
that facility on 12 July 1973 destroyed 80% of the records for those discharged
between November 1, 1912 and January 1, 1960.
Confirmation or information concerning the graduates listed above is appreciated.
