    Field Artillery OCS Hall of Fame

    Graduates of the Field Artillery Officer Candidate School are proud of their heritage and fraternal spirit that exalts among Field Artillerymen around the world. The Field Artillery Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame was established on 29 June 1968 to honor the heroism and exceptional achievement of its graduates and recognizes the outstanding contributions of these officers to their country and the Field Artillery.

    Any individual may nominate a graduate of the following:


    1. The Field Artillery Officer Candidate School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

    2. The Antiaircraft Artillery Officer Candidate School, Camp Davis, North Carolina. The individual must have attended between 1 April 1941 and 31 October 1944, and be commissioned Coastal Artillery Corps upon graduation.

    3. The Fort Riley Officer Candidate School, Fort Riley, Kansas. The individual must have attended between 12 December 1946 and 12 February 1951,commissioned Field Artillery upon graduation, attended the Fort Sill Field Artillery Officer Basic Course or associated Basic Course, and served in a Field Artillery unit after graduation.

    4. The Fort Bliss Antiaircraft Artillery Officer Candidate School,Fort Bliss, Texas. The individual must have attended between 1 August 1951 and 30 June 1953, commissioned Artillery upon graduation and served in a Field Artillery unit after graduation.

    5. The Fort Benning Branch Immaterial Officer Candidate School,Fort Benning, Georgia. The individual must have attended after 1 January 1973, commissioned Field Artillery upon graduation, attended the Fort Sill Field Artillery Basic Course, and served in a Field Artillery unit.

    The graduate must meet one of these requirements for consideration:


    1. Is the recipient of the Medal of Honor or the Distinguished Service Cross.

    2. Attained the rank of Colonel while serving on active duty or with a Reserve Component.

    3. Has been appointed or elected to an office of national prominence.

    4. Has rendered outstanding service to his nation, community or profession.
